To all of our Pound Ridge Nursery & Garden Center Customers:
As many of you are aware, Governor Cuomo has passed the “New York State on PAUSE” executive order, a 10 point policy to assure uniform safety for everyone in New York State. It includes a new directive that all non essential businesses statewide must close in-office personnel functions effective at 8 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2020.
All workers in nonessential businesses across New York State are required to stay home in an effort to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
“These provisions will be enforced,” Cuomo said. “These are not helpful hints. This is not if you really want to be a great citizen. These are legal provisions. They will be enforced. There will be a civil fine and mandatory closure for any business that is not in compliance.”
Currently at this point in time, Retail Nursery and Garden Centers are considered non-essential businesses. We have submitted all of the required forms to Governor Cuomo’s office in an attempt to be considered for an exemption to this law.
We are planning on resuming all normal business activities in approximately two to three weeks; however, this might change as we find out more news on a daily basis.
Even though our work is outside and does not require a close proximity towards our clients, it is in the best interest of public safety that we remain closed during this time period.
We will take this “pause” as an opportunity to thoroughly clean our retail facilities and offices so as to help us combat the spread of the Coronavirus on any surfaces that our customers and employees might come in contact with upon our re-opening of business.
We thank all of our loyal customers for their understanding and we promise to OPEN our doors and grounds as soon as we are legally allowed to.
Stay Home. Wash your Hands on a regular basis. Stay well.
Wishing you all Health and Happiness in these unsettled times,
Pound Ridge Nursery & Garden Center, Inc.
